About the event
The effects of childhood sexual abuse and assault can continue long after the experience itself, influencing trust, relationships, self-worth, boundaries, safety, and emotional well-being. Every survivor’s experience and healing journey are different, and each deserves to be met with compassion, dignity, and understanding.
Our Childhood Sexual Abuse and Assault Support Group provides a respectful, judgment-free, and survivor-centered space to connect with others who understand. Participants may share, listen, learn healthy coping strategies, and explore healing at their own pace. No one is required to disclose details of their experience or speak before they feel ready.
The group is facilitated by Africa Rhodes and Stachia Biser, who both bring lived experience to this work. Together, they offer empathy, understanding, and a supportive environment where survivors can reclaim their voices, recognize their strength, and know they do not have to heal alone.
