About
B.L.O.O.M. Girls Youth Psychoeducation Group For Girls Ages 14-18 B.L.O.O.M. is a 5-week psychoeducational girls group designed to help girls ages 10–13 grow in confidence, emotional awareness, resilience, and healthy connection. Through age-appropriate discussion, creative activities, reflection, and relationship-building, participants will be supported in understanding themselves more deeply while developing practical tools for everyday life. This group creates a safe, encouraging space where girls can build self-worth, strengthen their voice, and learn how to navigate emotions, relationships, and personal growth in healthy ways. The group will meet weekly for 2-hour sessions from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Sessions are scheduled for Saturday, June 13, 2026; Saturday, June 20, 2026; Saturday, June 27, 2026; Thursday, July 2, 2026 (adjusted due to the July 4 holiday); and Saturday, July 11, 2026, with the final session extended to a special 3-hour program. Each week focuses on one B.L.O.O.M. pillar: B – Build Resilience: learning how to bounce back, adapt, and stay grounded through challenges. L – Leverage Emotional Awareness: identifying emotions, increasing self-understanding, and learning to recognize what feelings are communicating. O – Own Emotional Regulation: building healthy coping skills and learning how to manage emotions in safe, empowered ways. O – Offer Relational Support: developing empathy, communication, boundaries, and positive peer connection. M – Maintain Growth Through Connection: strengthening identity, support systems, and ongoing habits that help girls continue growing beyond the group. Facilitated by B.L.O.O.M. creator and Peer Support Specialist, Stachia L. Biser and Peer Support Specialist, Africa N. Rhodes, B.L.O.O.M. is designed to nurture both personal growth and community, helping girls feel seen, supported, and equipped with tools they can carry into friendships, school, family life, and adolescence.
