About
The Brand Nubians Grief Support Group, created by Africa Rhodes and facilitated by Africa Rhodes and Stachia Biser, graduate students of psychology, is a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space for individuals and families coping with grief and loss. This group welcomes many forms of grief, including the loss of loved ones, family members, pets, relationships, or separation due to life changes and other difficult circumstances. Participants are invited to process their experiences at their own pace while building connection, emotional support, and healthy coping tools. Group sessions include guided discussions, psychoeducation on grief and healing, therapeutic activities, journaling, mindfulness exercises, coping strategies, and emotional regulation techniques. The goal is to help participants feel less alone, better understand their grief, and begin growing through loss with compassion, support, and community. Grief Support Group meets every second Thursday of the month indefinitely.
