About
Created by Africa Rhodes, a mother who lost her child to suicide, the Suicide Awareness and Grief Support Group is a compassionate, peer-supported space for adults who are grieving a suicide loss or supporting someone impacted by suicide. Together, we’ll explore grief in a non-judgmental environment, share coping tools, and build connection and hope—at your own pace. This group offers gentle education about suicide and grief, practical strategies for navigating difficult days, and support for reducing isolation and shame. This group operates on donations only. There is no set cost. Donations help fund materials, snacks, and pay facilitators. Group members can pay as they can or join at no cost. Important: This group is not a crisis service. If you’re in immediate danger or thinking about harming yourself, call 988 (U.S.), 911, or go to your nearest emergency room.
